The mixer, taking up the whole room.

Role
Concept & visual development
An appliance, in its natural habitat. Three of them, actually — a pastel topiary garden, a mid-century kitchen, a candy-toned modernist interior — and the habitats keep changing. SMEG's whole proposition is that the appliance is a piece of furniture; this just took the proposition seriously. If the mixer is furniture, the room should be willing to rearrange itself around it. So it does.
